In 2024, AI shifted my industry overnight. The work I'd spent six years building suddenly felt replaceable, and I burned out hard. For a while, the only thing that brought me back to myself was working with my hands. I'd sit and sculpt with no purpose, no client, no deadline. Just clay and quiet.
Around the same time, I kept seeing artists on Pinterest drawing illustrated "starter packs" of themselves and their characters. I loved the concept, and one day I thought, why isn't anyone making these as real, physical products? Like actual collectibles you could hold? So I started building the idea from scratch.
The big-headed figures with heart-shaped ears, the eye shape (which I drew while looking at my own reflection), the packaging that feels like a real toy on a store shelf, all of it is my own design language. Each pack is a tiny character study, made by hand, one of a kind.
I'm not a trained illustrator. I draw the packaging artwork myself, doing my best to keep everything in my style. In the future I'd love to collaborate with artists who want to draw packaging illustrations in my visual world, so if that sounds like you, please reach out.
When I'm working, my desk faces a field where cows sometimes graze. I usually have a series, an anime, or an audiobook playing. A single pack takes me around 60 hours from sketch to final detail. I'm a perfectionist, and I take every order personally. I want each pack to feel like a real product, not a craft. Even though it absolutely is one.
What I hope people feel when they unbox their pack: that they, or whoever it's for, are the main character. We all have our own story, our own little universe of favorite things and quirks and details. Seeing yourself rendered as a collectible is a reminder of that.
If you love handmade objects, collectible art, and characters with personality, we're going to get along. Welcome 💜
